I first discovered Better Alt’s Better Alt Shilajit Gold Gummies in the vitamin aisle at HomeGoods, and as someone already familiar with shilajit (yes, definitely an acquired taste), I figured I’d give them a try.
I was genuinely surprised by how much they helped calm my nervous system. I tend to be naturally high-energy, and I could literally feel my body settle down after taking them. More importantly, I experienced some of the most restorative REM sleep I’d had in a long time. I fell in love with them almost immediately.
Beyond the actual product, I also appreciated the branding and presentation. The black-and-gold packaging felt elevated and premium, and opening the gummies wrapped in the gold paper added to the experience. It made the product feel luxurious and intentional.
That’s honestly why I was a little disappointed when the packaging changed and the wrappers became clear instead of gold. It may seem small, but it took away a bit of the premium feel that originally stood out to me. I’m sure that decision was likely made as a cost-saving measure, which I completely understand from a business standpoint, but it did remove a little of the elegance and elevated feel that made the brand experience stand out.
The product itself is still excellent. I just miss that extra touch that made the experience feel special.
